The HISTORY OF...
HERRITT SPIRITUAL WARFARE MINISTRIES, INC.
Pastor Herritt has been an ordained minister since 1958 with several pastorates in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. He has also served several Interim Pastorates. Once when he moved to a city church he found that a lady in the church, who was a strong Christian, had become obsessed with the idea that she had committed the unpardonable sin. She constantly called her former pastor for release, running up huge phone bills. Although she received temporary relief through counseling with both pastors, she was still overwhelmed with the thought that she had committed the unpardonable sin. Someone said that it was like she was possessed.
Pastor Herritt made arrangements for her to go to Toccoa Falls, Georgia, to meet with Dr. Gerald McGraw who was Head of Theology at the Toccoa Falls College. Dr. McGraw and his team discovered that demons had taken over her mind. She loved the Lord but had given ground to Satan according to Ephesians 4:27 which says "Neither give place to the devil." She was gloriously set free from the bondage through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Herritt says, "When others saw the great victory in Christ they wanted to be set free also. Many people asked for counseling. Thus, with fear and trembling, I was thrust into the ministry of deliverance along with the other ministries of being a pastor. Many people were set free, and it was the beginning of an amazing adventure in which we have seen hundreds of Christians set free through the power of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ.
For nearly 40 years we have seen people from all walks of life being freed from all kinds of bondage - depression, unforgiveness, hate, bitterness, immorality, drugs, alcohol, confusion, doubts, unbelief, anxiety, worry, suicide, rejection, self-rejection, self-pity, self-accusation, self-hate, all manner of sicknesses, etc. The list goes on and on.
The Lord Jesus Christ says in John 8:32 “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” He also said that through His death, “He would destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil,” Hebrews 2:14.
